Dallas Pet Registration Requirements
Dallas requires pets 4 months and older to be registered with the city. Update: Since June 17, 2017 Dallas has replaced mandatory microchipping for animal registration laws.
Microchipping is available at all Low Cost Pet Vax clinics for $25.
All that’s needed is a microchip and you no longer have to worry about annual registration!
Fort Worth Pet Registration Requirements
Fort Worth pet registration laws require all dogs, cats and ferrets to have a pet license.
Pet licenses need to be renewed every year or every three years (depending on whether or not your pet’s microchipped).
A rabies certificate is required for all pet licenses, and a microchip is required for a three-year license. With a microchip, pet licensing is also cheaper for all licenses.
One-year license with microchip – $12
One-year license without microchip – $36
Three-year licenses (requires microchip & 3 year rabies) – $12
A late license fee is $100 regardless.
Fort Worth also requires dogs and cats that aren’t spayed or neutered to have an ‘intact pet permit’. These are a one-time fee of $50.

Registration is $5 if the animal is microchipped, $10 if the animal is spayed or neutered but not microchipped, and $15 if the animal isn’t microchipped or spayed / neutered.
Plano Pet Registration Requirements
